Baby Back Ribs

We made this recipe for Christmas 2020. The below ingredients covered 2 whole racks. The $32 Sams Club pack had 3 full racks in it. I prepared the rub and wrapped the ribs the night before.

The rub can be modified to your taste. This was modified slightly from the video which had a half cup of Adobo Pepper – just seemed like way too much.

- Cook the for 2 hours at 250 degrees.
- Remove the ribs and pour off the fat. Brush both side with BBQ sauce and return to the oven uncovered at 350 degrees.
- After 5 to 10 minutes, remove from the oven and coat the meat side with BBQ sauce.
- Repeat this about 5 times – at that point, the meat should not quite fall off the bone.

This was a combination of recipes I found right after we bought our PitBoss grill and smoker in February 2021. The below ingredients covered 2 whole racks. The $32 Sams Club pack had 3 full racks in it.

Chinese BBQ Pork (Char Siu)
'Char Siu' literally means fork burn/roast-'Char' being fork (both noun and verb) and siu being burn/roast-after the traditional cooking method for the dish: long strips of seasoned boneless pork are skewered with long forks and placed in a covered oven or over a fire.

Crock Pot Pulled Pork
Everyone loves this pulled pork recipe. It is better than most restaurants!

Crock Pot Pulled Pork
This is one of my Family's Favorite Recipes! The whole point of using a slow cooker is to get the ingredients into the cooker quickly and then be able to walk away. For this easy pulled pork recipe, just coat the pork shoulder with a spice rub of dark brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, and cinnamon, then cook it in garlic and chicken broth. When you come back six to ten hours later, you’ll have juicy pork that’s ready to be shredded and served atop nachos, alongside cornbread, or in a sandwich with your favorite barbecue sauce. This no-fuss, versatile recipe makes enough to feed a crowd, and the leftovers—should you have any—freeze well.
