Baby Back Ribs on Pellet Grill

This was a combination of recipes I found right after we bought our PitBoss grill and smoker in February 2021. The below ingredients covered 2 whole racks. The $32 Sams Club pack had 3 full racks in it.

Difficulty: medium

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Apple Juice
  • 3 Tablespoons Avocado Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Salt and Pepper the Ribs
  2. Cook at 200 degrees for 2 hours with the meat side up, uncovered
  3. Double wrap aluminum Foil. Put the racks in their own wrap pouring ½ the mixture per rack.
  4. Cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour, keeping the meat away from the heat.
  5. The ribs at 195-200 degrees will be bite through tender. At 200-203 degrees they should be falling off the bone. Either eat them like this, or flame grill them.
  6. Put a glaze of BBQ sauce on and cook them over the flame until you have the desired appearance.
